Hey guys! I’ve been wanting to change my blog theme for a really long time now. It’s not because I don’t like my previous theme, the Sela theme, but because I find that my blog didn’t look original or different at all. There are so many bloggers I know who use the Sela theme that I felt like mine was just another random blog, and I wanted it to look unique.
However, you have to purchase all of the WordPress themes I wanted, and they are pretty pricey. So obviously I couldn’t buy any of these themes that I wanted, no matter how nice they looked. And I didn’t want to change my theme to something I didn’t like, so I stayed with Sela until now.
I actually randomly stumbled across the theme I use now, which is the “Something Fishy” theme. At first I wasn’t sure if I should change it or not, because my blog has nothing to do with fish/underwater, but I really liked how my blog looked when I previewed it: blue, cute, and overall simple but nice. So after getting my mom’s opinion, I changed my theme!
Of course, I still have things I want to edit or change with this new theme. For example, I don’t like my banner, or the photo that directly pops up when you open up my blog. I also want to fix up a few things to that my blog is more accessible on mobile devices.
Anyways, how do you like my new theme? Please let me know!
P.S. I got my copy of Queen of Shadows in the afternoon 🙂 but now, I caught a cold so I can’t read/enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Hopefully my cold will go away so I can read as much as I want and still enjoy it as much as possible! 😀

I’ve got Sela theme as well and keep contemplating on whether or not to change it, because like you mentioned..there are SO many people that have it. I guess you just have to put your own little touches on everything.
I just had a look at the new look of your blog and it’s gorgeous! definitely haven’t seen anything like it around so you’re certainly quite unique!

I didn’t realize how popular the Sela theme was until I changed my theme also. At first I was just messing with it, but I liked it more than my previous theme which was Nucleare. But only after a few days I realized almost everyone had that theme haha! I’ll just have to wait until I can buy one of the nicer ones xD Anyway, I think your new theme is super cute & unique! This is my first time seeing it! (:
