About Me

Hello! I’m Silanur (if not obvious from the other parts of this site), and this is my little book blog. Long story short, I hope you enjoy my blog, but if you’d like to learn more “about me”, you can continue reading below.

Clearly I love reading, but besides books, I love some other things too, including; ranting, Turkish food, dark characters, anti-heroes, genetics (I’m currently enrolled in a really rigorous STEM school), little kids, smiles, stationary, cafés, words, the Classics (Ancient Greece and Rome), museums, traveling, smoothies, taking cute photos, pictures from the past, anything Aesthetic™, history of any kind but especially Ottoman Empire era, chatting, Çağatay Ulusoy, small animals, fantasy worlds, and, quite obviously, rambling about things I love.

My blog posts tend to be informal, just because it is the nature of how I like discussing things: passionately. I am a junior in high school and I have been blogging since February of 2015. I used to have a bookstagram (@aloofbooks), though I am no longer active on there. You can contact me at any of these sites–

Again, thank you for visiting my blog!

    • Hi! Well, I’m not really the best person to go to because I’ve only received two physical ARCs and a couple e-ARCS, but I can give you some advice. My first would be to keep being active on social media, and as much as I don’t like to say, but followers ARE important for publishers. I found which publishers to email through various sites all through research, and then emailed them properly and professionally. Make sure to put all your details (views, followers) and previous reviews. It took two years for me to get it right though…I’d recommend emailing a publisher only after a couple hundred blog followers and at least 500 monthly views, though. Hope that helps! Do you have any other questions? I can answer them in more detail if you’d like. 🙂
