Ohmygoodness…how I’ve missed blogging. Its been over a week since I’ve written anything, and I apologize for not posting! I’ve just been so busy lately, I never had the opportunity.
I’ve been looking for a post I want to write about that won’t take so much time, and I finally thought of this! Note: the books on this list are not necessarily set in autumn or have everything to do with fall, but I decided to include them because I associate them with the fall-ish weather. 🙂
So basically these are just books I recommend, in general, but specifically during Autumn/early Winter!
The first one on my list is a classic, Harry Potter. Although I haven’t finished this series yet (I know…the shame) I believe its perfect to read in the Fall/Winter seasons! ❤
Next I have probably my favorite fall read—just because I believe it fits the fall season PERFECTLY—and that is The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater. Not only are these books perfect to read when school starts, since it gives a fall/school/September vibe to the reader, its just overall so GOOD. I mean, really good. I know a lot of people say this series is slow, but I find it so whimsical and beautiful. I mean, I even started taking Latin because I love it so much! <333 (The trees speak latin, remember? TRC fans will get it 😉 )
Then on my list is Daugher of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor! To be honest with you, this isn’t necessarily spooky or scary, but I’m choosing it because it gave me a fall/winter vibe. I read it last year (I think?) in November, and the beautiful writing combined with the intriguing plot just gives the books a certain feel to it that I think is perfect to read in autumn. 🙂
The Archived by Victoria Schwab–I LOVE this book, if you didn’t realize already! The reason this one is on my list is because
- Its amazing.
- I love it.
- I love Wesley Ayers.
- Its one of my favorite books.
Okay, but really this is perfect to read during October/Halloween because although it’s not necessarily “horror”, it definitely has a spooky feeling to it PLUS ITS FANTASTIC. ❤
And of course, we have another favorite of mine! The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. So just like all the other books on this list, The 5th Wave does not necessarily only apply to fall, but I read it in September last year and it always reminds me of autumn. The movie’s coming out soon so its also a perfect opportunity to get to it! 🙂
Now since I’m super lazy and I’m running short on time, the rest of these books I’m not going to explain why you should read them in the fall, because you’ll probably understand why. Those books are:
- The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton — One of my favorite books, has beautiful writing, perfect for autumn!
- Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs — Creepy, great for Halloween! 🙂
- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak — Heartbreaking but with lovely writing and also takes place during fall/winter.
Thanks for reading guys! What are some of your favorite fall books to read? Please PLEASE let me know! Lately no one has been commenting/being active and it makes me so sad… 😦
